This is a motor soft starter that reduces the starting voltage and current of an AC motor. It reduces the jolt on the motor, as well as the current draw.
The starter is highly programmable and can be adjusted to suit your specific need.
You can retrofit your existing equipment by connecting it at your motor's power supply, without needing to change anything else. You can also use it as an independent motor controller and turn on and off your motor by pressing of a button, or different types of switches.
